I have been wanting to add this song to my blog for awhile and after reading my friend Kim's post tonight it reminded me of it. For many who have adopted, getting there was a series of broken hearts. We never have dealt with infertility or the loss of a child but our own journey was full of many broken roads that led to our decision to adopt....and it was a 14 year road!!!
The weather is finally cooling down enough to enjoy time outdoors and the girls and I took Hudson on a walk to the park tonight. I wish I would have had a camera (mine is broken and right now we are without one!!!) Hudson would just run through the grass with his arms out to his sides, his head pointed up and making lots of joyful noise. As I wrote about in my last post, he couldn't do any of this 6 months ago and it was with pure joy that we watched him just enjoying life like a three year old does! The Lord gets all the glory for that!!!!!!!
So....although this isn't a Christian song......it speaks to my heart that all the tears, fears, frustrations, disapointments and let-downs we went through were so worth times like tonight. Watching our precious boy making much of HIM in his own three year old way!

Hudson reminds me of my Sara when she was little. She enjoyed every part of every day. Strong-willed but so loving. He is a true blessing....you are helping him become who God had always meant for him to be.
You may not have a digital image of Hudson running at the park, but your description gave me a visual! I can just see him head turned to the sky, laughing joyfully, embracing life as only a toddler can do!
Wow...he has blossomed so much from that scared little fella we met 6 months ago. Where has the time gone???

What a joy all of our children are!! Hudson can always out a big smile on my face...
I have always thought of this song as a Christian song, because sometimes our road to God is broken, but leads us to Him.
