From the very beginning of our adoption journey we prayed that our child would be loving and affectionate with a very sweet spirit. Hudson has exceeded our expectations in that department. I was walking with him down the hall at work last week when he reached up and took my hand. When I looked down at him he was looking up at me smiling and said "I love you". The I love you's can be heard throughout each day and every time my heart melts. He will tell us "I will miss you" when one of us is leaving him, even if just for a few hours and he never welcomes us home whether it be a few minutes or several hours without a full on run to hug us followed by "I missed you". Since spring has sprung and Hudson has discovered the weeds/flowers growing outside he has taken to picking at least one every few days and leaving it by my bed...usually without me knowing. I have even found dandelions with just the seeds in a jar of water....how sweet is that? I think he is a bit of a romantic....
As I have mentioned my mom was a huge gardener and loved working in her flowers. I also grew up eating home made jams/jellies from the fruit she grew. I love that Hudson has started putting his flowers in her jelly jars....
It was six months ago today she went to be with Jesus and this was by my bed this morning...

Tears... just so sweet...
Oh, Sharon.. He is such a special boy!!! It makes me want to go back for a boy... Did I just say that? :)
But seriously, I love how Hudson is there to make you smile and your heart melt... He and Ruby would love to garden together! Dandelions are her very favorite yellow "flower!"
Hugs,
Diana
What a sweetheart!
What a sweetie! I hope my little Ben will be that way too. Shayle will pick my roses off of my bush and bring them to me. She will say "close your eyes, I have a surprise." These children are true gifts from God!
absolutely precious & perfect timing.
So sweet, I am crying in my coffee! Maggie tells me so many times a day that she loves me and yes, my heart melts each time too~
What a precious gift from your darling son! There is something dear about an offering of flowers, even if they are weeds, from a little boy any day. But a beautiful bloom in an old jelly jar on an anniversary day like that is especially touching. You are so blessed!
