Praise God for pink toes!!!!

Susannah is out of surgery and doing well! It is amazing the things that become precious to us when we have a special needs child....We had Hudson's post-op appointment last week with our craniofacial surgeon and he said what we thought..."He has a beautiful palate!!!" , it is a healthy, pink palate!! So many things that we take for granted in our daily lives and with our healthy kids have become dear to us. Hudson blowing out his birthday candle by himself, sucking through a straw, saying "no!" clearly....and now Susannah's sweet pink toes!! We are grateful that she had a successful surgery today and look forward to hearing how her recovery goes!

Susannah is having surgery today!

Susannah goes into surgery this morning and will be in surgery most of the day. Pray for His hands to guide her surgeons, peace for Leslie and Charlie and above all healing for her little heart. You can check in on their journey if you click on her icon above left. Thanks for all your prayers for this precious little princess!!!

Pray Hard for Susannah today!

It has been an extremely busy week for me (and it isn't over) but I did want my faithful followers to continue to pray for Susannah today. She is home (YEAH!!!) but was admitted to the hospital yesterday and will undergo a heart Cath today to determine if she is a candidate for surgery. The heart cath alone is risky but prayers our it determines that her heart has not been damaged enough that she can't undergo the surgery she so desperately needs.

I cannot imagine the exhaustion that Leslie and Charlie must feel as jet lag alone is difficult to overcome. Add to that the pure exhuastion of all they have been through in the last two weeks...please pray for them. Leslie is an amazing woman and needs our prayers to hold her up as she and Charlie face the hours and days ahead of them. Many of you have adopted and understand all the issues associated with it and most of you are parents. I know you will all lift Susannah before the throne!!! Thank you!!!!!

Not an end but a beginning!!!!

"On 9.19.05 Mr. Li Ping, the manager of Civil Affairs Rescue Station of Zhang Lang County, found this new born male at the door of the third floor of Nurse Office of the People's Hospital of the Zhang Lang County. The baby was about 7 days old. He was inside a paper box and wrapped in a red blanket. There was also a milk bottle. Mr. Li Ping reported to the local public security office. The office made every effort but failed to locate the parent or any other relations. As a result the baby was determined to have been abandoned. ""But, in Your great mercy you did not put an end to them or abandon them, for YOU are a gracious and merciful God." Nehemiah 9:31

And this is why we say "The Lord has done great things for us and we are filled wih joy!"

It was in the month of September, 3 years ago that we decided to commit to adoption and began the process of finding an agency. It is always mind boggling to comprehend all the things that needed to "fall into place" for Liang Xiao Yue to become Hudson Xiao Teague but we know that none of it just "fell into place". God had a plan for Liang Xiao Yue and we are so grateful it included us.

Our prayer is that Hudson will one day say "Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body will also rest secure, because you will not abandon me to the grave....You have made known me the path of life." (Ps. 16) As always, we continue to pray for his birth parents, that they too, will know HIM so we can spend eternity together!". We pray a special prayer for them today, that they feel no condemnation but have peace knowing they gave their son LIFE!

Continued prayer for Susannah!

Please continue to pray for Susannah. Here she is with her mama and papa who are weary but fighting the fight, both logistically and spiritually. Many of you asked about her blog which was closed but is back open (click on her picture on top left). They need our prayers and words of encouragment! GOD IS FAITHFUL AND CAN MOVE MOUNTAINS IN CHINA!

WELCOME HOME YOU!!!!

It is SO hard to believe that Hudson has been a part of our family in the flesh for 5 months! Of course he was intended for our family since the beginning of time and what a honor to be able to celebrate his life! Of course we are thinking especially of his birth parents. We are so blesed by the life that they created and pray they have some sense of knowning how much he is truly loved. We also have a greater understanding of how our Heavenly Father knows us by name, long before we know him and how He will always welcome us home.
We love you sweet boy and welcome home you!!!

How cute are these boys?

Hudson will be three this Saturday so I had some pictures taken of him for his invitations. I asked Pam to bring Ty so we could get some of them together.
I have mentioned before that Pam and I are so blessed to be able to have these two precious boys who are only four months apart. We both started out thinking we would be raising girls from China together. We both switched to SN's and then updated again to include boy OR girl. We didn't travel together but Ty came home about a month after Hudson did. It is fun to see them get excited to see each other. They both ask for each other and Thursday I will have Ty all day as Pam is out of town.
We LOVE YOU TY!!

I will be posting many more pictures that were taken of Hudson in a few days for a special post in honor of his birthday! (Thanks Sara, you did an awesome job!)

Fun with family

Labor Day Weekend

We spent the weekend at Mark's moms near College Station. Saturday we decided to have a "girly" day and took the girls to lunch, shopping, went to get their bushy eyesbrows waxed and ended up at Ulta topped off with facials for all including the guys!. On Sunday they entertained us with a style show. There are 6 cousins ages 10-14 and all were together except one (we missed you Whitley!). There is always some form of entertainment when they get together, a play, a concert or a fashion show. They have done this since they were little and even though they are almost all teenagers they still love to entertain us. It was a fun weekend and we look forward to Christmas when Whitley is here and we can introduce Alyssa, a new cousin who is almost 8, to the madness.
Love you beautiful young ladies!!!!
